Fashionistas are facing horrifying news about unbearable working conditions in sweat shops all over the globe on almost a daily basis. Sometimes I get the feeling that I have to decide - either leaving the fashion industry and all its crimes behind to have a better conscious or wearing fair fashion that has not a lot to do with fashion. If you belong to the club of LOHAS (Lifestyle of Health and Sustainibility) you are perfectly fine in Vienna!
Fortunately there is a lot going on in Vienna that prevents me from the urge to take the decision between fashion and sustainability. Fashionistas with the need to support green and fair fashion while looking absulutely fabulous, have a lot of hidden gems to discover in Vienna.
To ease your search a little bit, read through my personal shopping guide to green and fair fashion in Vienna:

Situated in Theobaldgasse, Bawi created a label both fashionable and socially responsable by only using cloth that was produced fairly and employing women with hearing disabilities who craft her creations. Her collection is utterly stylish and perfect for every occasion. http://www.anzueglich.at
