Hi, I am Stefanie, a student in Nuremberg. I’m passionate about cooking, baking, and eating ;) films and small cinemas. My Motto: How do you like your eggs? In a cake!
What makes you a lovely Lovli Local?
I'm living now 4 years in Nuernberg to study social work. Beside I'm working and active in a small arthouse cinema. It has a long tradition in the southcity, is well known and loved by the habitants of Nuernberg. Also I'm working for a association, which publishs a homeless magazine. I'm loving the traditional aspect of the city and all you would not expact to find here;)
What makes your tours different to others?
Nuernberg has all typicall bavarian characteristics: a castle, beer, lebkuchen, a great historical center. . . In the southside of the city it is completely different. Here are living lots of migrants and students. That's why we have nice students pubs, an arthouse cinema, many international shops and food, many social institutions and many great and insteressting people. I know the hidden spots of the city which show the poverty and social exclusion, but also spots which show the great cultural diversity in Nuerenberg beside the romantic image.
What do you like most/least about your city?
I love the southcity. It's otfen titled as the "Kreuzberg" of Nuernberg. But it offers so much. People of many different cultures, artists, students.... and all living next to eachother. What I don't like is that we have many tourist in Nuernberg, specially at the time of the christmas market, who are missing the aspect that Nuernberg can offer more than lebkuchen and a nice castle.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would go on a roadtrip through southamerica. Stop where I want, taking as much time as I want without a real plan where to go. Just enjoying the flow!
What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Sleep! I can sleep everywhere and anytime :D
What’s your favorite smell?
The smell of a lemon tree!!! So great, feels like being a child again and passing the day in the nature with my grandfather. And all the great cakes with lemons...hmmm...
